Monstera needs much more light. Measure it using photone or other app/tool. 350 ppfd for 12 hours works well.

That monstera looks as if it needs way more light, weird. Looks a lil floppy like dehydrated too, sorry love! I have mine directly infront of a huge window or being blasted with a grow light if not. I pretty much only ever water the moss pole, putting enough water through there it gets down to the pot too, but I’ve gotta water it every couple days to keep the moss moist. My leaves quadrupled or more in size in only a foot of stem growth, internodes fairly close together. I do the squeeze test on the pole, top to bottom daily to ensure it’s not getting crunchy (dry) Before the big windowed home I live in now, the last place I had grow lights EVERYWHERE, it certainly helped IMMEIMMENSELY when you don’t have enough natural light. I want that tshirt! Where’d you get it? Def chop and prop that linearus!! Show us pleasase!!

Hi there, for your monstera (and majestic), from my experience, monstera get leggy like that when they are needing more light, you may want to increase the light they are getting. If not more light, then try longer exposure in the day. Like instead of 12 hours maybe 14 to even 16 hours. Keep up with fertilizing and watering. Mine are in semi-hydro(leca) for watering consistency and receiving light for 14 hours via grow light. If they get too big you can lower the light. Your videos are so fun. I hope this helps

Your monstera by inter node space looks more like a small form aka borsigiana.

Definitely a light issue with the Monstera. Uk light is difficult to manage, one day scorching the next you need a torch at lunchtime 😂

That's kinda weird your Majestic has such small leaves, mine sized up much faster just with a chopstick and I was about to get it on a real moss pole when the base of the stem snapped cuz I was clumsy and I've had to re root it in water.

My goals- don't kill the plants. It's a work in progress.

my silver borneo doesn't want to live normally, since I got is, it's not happy, it gave me flowers but then decided to die, I dont know how to revive it. The roots are ok but the leaves are droopy. maybe I should move it just to water

Yep Ive struggled with silver sword for a long time but now for some reason ever since I put it on a moss pole it's picked up. So far so good with no thrips but give it time I'll probs end up with them on that cos I have them on other plants 😩 Same too with the spider plant....always crisping and looking unhappy ( even in self watering pot) 🤷🏻‍♀ But totally agree with you on begonias in semi-hydro. I have 4 diiferent types and they are all doing great since putting them in that set up 👏🏼😻 My Florida Ghost is constantly pushing out large white leaves before turning minty and she's loving life in my north facing window (Sydney) with a sheer curtain. Same with my Thai Con next to her...they are both in semi-hydro (LECA) and they are going gangbusters even now during our winter. Thanks for sharing your experience Emma 🥰

The Thai Constellation was at the top of my wishlist ever since I first saw it. Two months ago I finally got one. It is just a baby, but it was only $40. It has given me two beautiful new leaves. And since I love it as it is and don't need it to grow quickly, it is 100% worth the hype to me.

If you get pest's do you spray the Begonias?

Begonias are the bane of my existence. Everytime I buy one because they are really pretty, they start to struggle and die. The one that lives the longest is a silver spot, but boy, it´s struggeling. And I never have been able to figure out what I do wrong. Spidre plants however? easy. You just ignore or mistreat them, they love that. And if they get thrips, really dousing them in a mix of oil, water and soap works well. That way it get´s really into the smalles hiding places and solves the investation within two weeks. I showered them and then applied the mix every three days with intervalls of water spraying, after two weeks I did another shower round to get rid of the oily residue. I basically waterboearded them for two weeks, and they loved it :D

Think mentioned before, but i am over Philodendrons. But my actual 'death plants' are succulents, spider plants, and angel wing begonia (rex are fine!).

I scored a variegated Alocasia Polly, a variegated Monstera Peru, a replacement global green pothos and a large ghost euphorbia! Sansi grow lights are my favorite….just got some of the puck lights for a shelf.

Can you show your plant/tree now 3 years later I did this on your video and mine is really tall ready to transplant to a 24 " pot

My curly bonnie spider plant has separation anxiety I think. It gave me some babies I removed from the mother and potted up together, and both the babies and mother started going downhill and looking crispy and sad. I recently potted them back up together in a larger pot and now they're all thriving... 🤷‍♀

I don't honestly have a plant I always struggle with. I usually am stubborn until I "get" them. After that I sometimes give them away because I just want to figure out why they are struggling before 😅 But generally I am an overwaterer so most fails have definitely been my fault 😂

Rex Begonia totally can manage 50-60% humidity but will croak if the temperature is over about 27/28°C! So finding a cooler bright spot with decent humidity will make them happy 😊

Pumice actually floats. I don't know why we keep saying it doesn't. I definitely prefer it over perlite.

Thank you for that video. I was thinking about tree fern fiber for when I will get some nice anthuriums. It may work from what I see in your video. For propagation I am very conservative: clean water and sphagnum :-)

I only have 6 alochasia and the dragon scale is the only one that hated my greenhouse cabinet. Within a month it lost 2 leaves. Yours is doing fantastic in yours though. Strange

My Monstera Albo is putting out new giant leaves every two weeks 💕 My Begonias are also growing massive leaves very quickly 😀🇨🇦

I have absolutely no luck with cane begonia and really love them. On the other hand my regal shield is totally ignored. In the winter cold dark basement hardly watered and now in summer outside. I can’t kill it. Right now she’s huge and beautiful 4 leaves. Time to take better care of this beauty. You seriously love your plants and it shows. Great tour. 🇨🇦💚

Summer. For a day or two ....

I thought I would put my Alocasia Black Velvet in Pon. It had gone into dormancy (winter here in NZ) but when I went to take the corms out there was nothing there? No rot or mush either & it had done so well over the summer I was shocked. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them?

I got a Dragons Breath this week. I stayed away from alocasias for years, thinking they were to hard and finicky but this year i slowly started to like them. Now i have 12!
